We want you to be at ease and know that your child's safety is our number one concern. We use safety badges to ensure that the only person who picks your child up is someone you have designated. We have an Emergency Response Team who is trained to respond quickly and effectively in all types of emergency situations. We also ensure that everyone who works with your child has submitted to a thorough background investigation and has accountability partners in place, working along side them.
Our Team
Pastor Jeff serves as Children's Pastor at Cross Assembly. Jeff has over 20 years experience in children's ministry and holds ministerial credentials with the Assemblies of God. He began serving in children's ministries at Cross Assembly in 1999 and joined the staff in 2004. It is Pastor Jeff's passion that kids love to come to church and that they have a personal relationship with their Creator. He also seeks to encourage others to step out in faith and realize their gifts and passions by serving in ministry. Jeff currently focuses on mentoring and coaching others to be bold and minister to kids in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Jeff and his wife, Liz, have been married since 1986 and have two grown children; Rachel and Patrick.
Originally from Naples, Florida, Vickie has been attending Cross Assembly since moving to the Raleigh area in 2007, and joined the Cross Kidz staff in 2017. She began volunteering in children’s ministries in middle school, and has been serving and working with kids both locally and around the world ever since. Having accepted Christ as her Savior as a young girl, when her Sunday School teacher presented the gospel, Vickie has a heart to show God’s love to kids of all ages and help them to learn to love God and live for Him. Outside of church, she loves to spend time outdoors, hiking, kayaking, camping and just taking time to appreciate the beauty of the world around us. She enjoys the mountains and the beach, exploring and seeing new things, spending time with close friends and family and traveling to new places.
Valerie joined the Cross Kidz staff in 2017. She has over 15 years of experience in kids ministry. Outside of ministry she enjoys homeschooling her kids, spending time with friends and family, crafting, cooking, exploring new restaurants and shopping. Valerie has a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management from Cedarville University in Ohio.
Valerie and her husband, Bob, have been married since 1994 and have 4 children; Zachary, Danielle, Christopher and Joshua.
Danielle joined the Cross Kidz Staff in 2020 but has been serving in various capacities within the ministry for over 10 years. Born and raised in Frankfort, KY, she moved to North Carolina in 2001 and enjoys going on nature walks and hanging out with her friends and family. Danielle has a passion for children and loves to see them grow in the Lord. She believes that if you love and pour into children, they will grow up and change the world for Jesus.
